Professional background

I advise entrepreneurs in particular on competition law with regard to the risks associated with cartels, arrangements, exchange of information, distribution, and abuse of a dominant position. I support clients in obtaining merger clearances.

I have worked on numerous proceedings before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Competition and Consumer Protection Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court. I have also advised on numerous regulatory matters and on the development and implementation of antitrust compliance programs. I have conducted a number of trainings for entrepreneurs in the field of competition and consumer law.

In 2024, I was recommended in the Polish edition of Legal 500 (competition law). One of my clients emphasized: “Dariusz Aziewicz combines a pragmatic approach with detailed, top-class expert knowledge.”

I am a graduate of the LL.M. program at the University of Florida. I am the author and co-author of numerous academic publications on Polish and EU competition law, including: the latest commentary on the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection (in the field of Polish merger control, published by C.H. Beck), European Union Law System, Competition Law (in the field of EU merger control, published by C.H. Beck), an academic Competition law textbook for law students, and the only Polish book about the assessment of horizontal mergers. I lecture on competition law in new technologies at one of Warsaw's universities. I am an affiliate of the Center for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies at the University of Warsaw and a non-governmental advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN).
