Professional background
I am a partner in charge of IT/IP law and specialise in technology-driven business models. I have been advising on all areas of IT/IP law for over ten years, with a strong focus on data protection law. My experience in the technology sector includes advising start-ups, public bodies, large multinationals and non-governmental organisations on digital media, data and telecoms projects, as well as representing clients in technology-related disputes, including mass litigation proceedings.
I am an expert in digitalisation topics and assist in solving legal issues arising from the introduction of legal tech products. I have a strong technical understanding of the practical requirements related to information technologies.
I act as an external data protection officer (DPO) for numerous companies. Prior to my work as a lawyer, I worked for several years as Deputy Head of Legal Affairs and Data Protection Officer for the leading IT service provider in the public sector in Austria.
In addition to my work as a lawyer, I am also a lecturer for IT law at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein/Tyrol.
