European law firm Fieldfisher is delighted to be hosting the 5th Annual GAR Live Energy Disputes Conference at its London office on 2 July 2019, in partnership with leading commercial arbitration publication, Global Arbitration Review.

The event will be held at Fieldfisher's London office and will include presentations and moderated discussions from renowned specialists on international arbitration.

Topics on the agenda include enforcement experiences and trends in energy disputes; the application of the international arbitration system to developing economies and legal frameworks; and the challenges of managing energy disputes with reputational risks.

Simon Sloane, a partner in Fieldfisher's dispute resolution team and a recognised expert in energy-related international arbitrations, will be discussing Africa’s increasing integration into the international arbitration system and issues arising from this trend.

Fieldfisher is currently acting on a number of significant energy-related international arbitrations involving prominent clients, many of which have attracted close attention from the global media.

In his presentation, Simon will draw on his experience spanning more than 25 years of advising energy, construction and investor clients resolve their business disputes in jurisdictions across the world.

He will be joined by other members of the firm's dispute resolution practice, which incorporates sector-leading expertise in international arbitration proceedings involving European, Russian and CIS, Middle Eastern and African clients as well as a growing number of Asian and South American clients.
