I am a leading expert in international arbitration and ADR with over 25 years' experience of advising construction, energy and insurance clients achieve commercial resolution to business disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
I have particular expertise in the oil & gas, construction, (re)insurance, mining, energy and hotel sectors and have been involved in numerous multi-million dollar disputes across the globe, including test cases in the English courts and state investor treaty arbitrations.
I have specialised knowledge of business interruption and supply chain damage and have advised clients on their business losses following significant disasters, including 9/11, the Asian Tsunami 2004, Arab Spring 2009/10, Japanese Tsunami 2011, Thai Floods 2011 and Vietnam unrest of 2015.
I have lived and worked in Africa, the UK, the USA and Singapore which has provided me with a unique perspective of the regions' cultural and business landscapes. This has proven invaluable to my clients when considering the most appropriate approach to adopt in resolving regional disputes.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. My professional memberships include The Society of Construction Law, IBA, AIPN and the Law Society of England & Wales. I am a former committee member of the Insurance Law Association of Singapore.
I speak at industry and legal conferences globally and have lectured in Vietnam and Singapore on insurance law issues.
My spare time is spent playing games with my young son and enjoying Pilates. I am an enthusiastic tennis player and golfer when the time permits.
