I am a seasoned disputes resolution practitioner with a focus on representing multinational corporations and sovereign entities in the resolution of high value disputes. I have extensive experience in international arbitration proceedings (ICC, Cepani and ICSID) and multijurisdictional court proceedings, in particular in relation to (resisting of) enforcement of arbitral awards.

I have worked as counsel and tribunal secretary in a range of fields spanning construction law, distribution law, data protection and several high-profile enforcement proceedings of investment arbitral awards.

In recent years, I gained extensive experience in arbitrations concerning the motor car industry, security forces industry, largescale energy construction projects (windfarms, oil and natural gas), expropriations in the maritime sector and the termination of cross border distribution agreements. I also acted as tribunal secretary in a number of high-stakes arbitrations.

Furthermore, I have experience in commercial court proceedings and in Supreme Court proceedings (assisting two lawyers at the Belgian Supreme Court).

Aside from contentious work, I advise clients on legal aspects of their commercial strategy and assist in drafting complex commercial (framework) contracts related to bespoke business endeavours.

I lecture on Comparative Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles as a teaching assistant and am an active member of the steering committee of Cepani 40 and a Regional Representative of Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA).

Mentioned as a "key lawyer" for Dispute Resolution in 2023 Legal 500 ranking.

In 2014 I obtained my LL.M in International Business Law from La Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia (in Spanish), while simultaneously interning at the de External Action Service of the European Union (Department Politics and Press)  in Bogota. I completed my Master of Laws in international and European Law in 2013 (magna cum laude) at the KU Leuven (in English) and my Bachelor of Laws at the same University (in Dutch). In 2011 I spent a year at the University of Copenhagen as a foreign exchange student.

I was called to the Dutch-speaking Brussels Bar in 2014.

I am natively bilingual in English and Dutch, and I also have an excellent command of Spanish and French.
