My main areas of practice
My particular focus is on the drafting and negotiation of contracts for the setup or expansion of purchasing, distribution and logistics systems. I have many years of experience in drafting contracts as well as in reviewing and drafting general terms and conditions.

In addition to the contractual relationships of companies within the supply chain for the procurement and distribution of products and services, this includes the creation of general terms and conditions and advice on consumer protection regulations for the sale of products and services to consumers, in particular for online stores and the distance selling of financial products.

Another focus of my work is assisting international clients in entering the German market.

I also advise companies in connection with the implementation of the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act.

I advise our clients in German and English.

Publications
I have published the following articles in legal journals:

  • Exclusion of Sections 445a, 445b German Civil Code in B2B supply chains under German terms & conditions law (with Sara Bandehzadeh, LL.M.), Betriebs-Berater 2018, pages 1738 et seq.
  • Regarding the admissibility of regulations on contract terms in franchise agreements pursuant to German general terms and conditions law (with Dr. Tom Billing), in: ZVertriebsR 2015, pages 139 et seq.

Personal engagement
I am a member of the German Society for Distribution Law (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Vertriebsrecht) and the German-American Lawyers Association (Deutsch-Amerikanische Juristen-Vereinigung).

My background
I studied law in Münster and completed my state legal training in Berlin.

Before joining Fieldfisher, I worked as a lawyer in internationally oriented Commercial Law firms in Berlin and Luxembourg. A secondment with a leading German food retail group gave me the opportunity to get to know the client perspective.

During my stays abroad as a Trainee lawyer at the German Desk of an internationally active law firm in Brazil, as a lawyer in a Luxembourg law firm and through temporary work from the United States via the Fieldfisher Silicon Valley office, I gained extensive experience in the international environment.

I am admitted as a lawyer in Germany and hold a limited license as Foreign Law Consultant in Washington, United States.
