Sunrise B, the sunrise period which allows brand owners from outside the adult entertainment industry to pre-register their brand names to prevent them being exploited by cybersquatters in new .XXX domain names, opens today. Sunrise B is available to those with valid trade marks registered prior to 1 September 2011. If Sunrise B applications are successful, reserved names will resolve to a standard informational page indicating the status of the name as reserved. Brand owners have until 28 October 2011 to make an application under Sunrise B - this is strongly advised if you want to avoid a dispute over your name in this new adult online space.
