We are pleased to announce the launch of a new subscription service for our PRG Blog to replace our Public and Regulatory Law Group Alerter.

Subscribing to our blog The Public Eye will give you an up to the minute insight on new case law developments as well as topical public and regulatory law issues straight to your inbox.

This week, we have covered adverse inferences in regulatory proceedings before the SRA and BSB, Football Association rule changes, as well as summarising the newly reported decision of the High Court in Miller v General Medical Council on the subject of public/private hearings, and the decision of the Court of Appeal in R (on the application of Adesina & Others) v Nursing and Midwifery Council on the subject of time limits for statutory appeals, and whether these are absolute.

We have also covered other recent cases on the subject of time limits, including Naguib v General Medical Council (a High Court decision in relation to time limits for statutory appeals) and Alacakanat v General Medical Council, in which the High Court looked at the time limit for judicial review proceedings as well as whether the Ankara Agreement conferred any rights upon Turkish citizens to be treated, for the purposes of access to and pursuit of the medical profession, no less favourably than a national of a relevant European state.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will be continuing to comment upon new case law developments as well as writing about topical public and regulatory law issues.
