Firm advises Rangers on its £22.2m placing, public offer and admission to AIM with a market capitalisation of £45m

Fieldfisher advises Rangers on its £22.2 million placing and public offer and admission to AIM with a market capitalisation of £45 million

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has advised The Rangers Football Club Limited and its new holding company Rangers International Football Club plc ("RIFC") on its placing, offer to the public and admission to trading on AIM on 19 December 2012 with a market capitalisation of £45 million. 

Fieldfisher corporate partner Christine Phillips led on the deal together with Patrick Cannon, Head of the Sports practice group.  Corporate associates Caroline Nicholls, Shash Dayal and solicitor Rashed Hasan also assisted together with associate Daniel Geey who advised on football regulatory issues.  

The firm advised on the Club's £17 million placing to institutional investors and its offer to the public which closed on 18 December 2012 raising £5.2 million in a week.  The team advised RIFC on the publication of its prospectus and related issues regarding the offer to the public and placing.

Fieldfisher advised the Charles Green consortium on the acquisition of the business and assets of Rangers Football Club in June 2012 prior to being instructed to advise on the Club's fundraising and admission to AIM.
