European law firm Fieldfisher has grown its Insolvency & Restructuring offering with the appointment of well-known insolvency specialist Stewart Perry. Stewart joins the firm from Clyde & Co where he was a partner.
Stewart specialises in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious insolvency work and primarily acts for insolvency practitioners, various categories of financier and directors of distressed companies. He chairs the R3 (the Association of Business Recovery Professionals) General Technical Committee, as well as sitting on their National Council. Stewart is also a consulting editor to the Lexis Nexis PSL insolvency product with other City partners and judiciary.
Stewart has a particular focus on the oil and gas sector and is instructed by a broad range of clients including globally renowned Operators and Contractors. He regularly presents to clients at industry conferences and is the only insolvency specialist member on the LOGIC standard contracts working group.
