Fieldfisher has bolstered its corporate department with the hire of partner Mark Walker from Mayer Brown. He joined on January 6 2014 and will be based in the firm's London office.
Mark is a corporate lawyer, who acts principally for corporate venturers, family offices and private investor groups. He specialises in private M&A, venture capital, family office and private equity investments in the UK and Germany. He also regularly advises on banking regulation, IT and technology matters, credit rating regulations and corporate real estate transactions. Mark has a wide-ranging client base, and he has extensive experience advising clients in the fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical, automotive and defence sectors in both jurisdictions.
Mark was a partner in the corporate department of Mayer Brown from 1996. Between 2005 and 2011 he was based in Mayer Brown's Frankfurt office, focusing on private and public corporate transactions in the above sectors.
