Fieldfisher's European intellectual property team has again returned victorious in the annual Managing IP EMEA 2020 awards, held at the Marriott Hotel, London, on 5 March.

In recognition of the team's expertise and international offering Fieldfisher won the 'Europe Cross-Border Telecoms Patent Team of the Year' award (shared with df-mp, EIP and Osborne Clarke) for our pioneering work with Unwired Planet, led by Ben Grzimek, Lis Herrmann and Jörn Peters, in the regional awards category. The London IP Team also won the 'Impact Case of the Year 2020' awards (shared with Mishcon de Reya) for the ground breaking Sky v SkyKick case led by John Linneker and his team.

The prestigious Managing IP awards recognise 'remarkable achievements and developments' within the intellectual property industry over the last year.

Commenting on the win Leighton Cassidy, Co-Head of the IP team at Fieldfisher said:

"The competition was extremely fierce this year, so we are delighted to have been recognised for our work on the leading cases within IP last year.

"Fieldfisher's wins for Impact Cases of the Year for the Unwired Planet case is a testament to lead partner Ben Grzimek and his team in Germany and Fieldfisher's strong telecoms cross-border patent practice.

"Our success for the SkyKick case is due to the fantastic work of John Linneker and the expertise of our European trade mark litigation practice.

"We look forward to another busy year where we'll be working on more ground-breaking cases and bolstering our expertise as our client portfolio continues to grow."
