As one of the first batch of registered members of the association, the selection is a key recognition for Fieldfisher China in the field of data trading.

Fieldfisher China has been selected as one of the first batch of registered members of the Data Exchange Compliance Association (DEXCA) by Shenzhen Data Trading Exchange. The international law firm in China will work with the state-run data exchange to provide high-quality legal services to the data trading market.

The Shenzhen Data Trading Exchange enables companies to buy and sell data like regular commodities. The data trading framework is seen as an important step in developing China's digital economy.

Zhaofeng Zhou, Fieldfisher's managing partner in China, said: "The qualification of becoming a DEXCA registered member is proof of our market leadership in data trading compliance assessment. We are committed to working very closely with Shenzhen Data Trading Exchange to promote the compliance and standardization development of the data trading industry, and create more business value for clients."

The Shenzhen Data Trading Exchange's platform offers a range of services that include compliance protection and circulation support, enabling businesses and consumers to trade data efficiently.

The qualification of becoming a DEXCA registered member enables Fieldfisher China to augment its professional and legal services by ramping up its ability to play a greater role in the compliance and standardization development of the data trading industry.

Fieldfisher China was founded in 2008 and has three offices across Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The offices in China are comprised of internationally-focused lawyers who have experience of working at other international firms, working or studying abroad, making them well placed to advise both local and international clients on operations in China and, with the support of the wider Fieldfisher network, around the world. As part of the network, Fieldfisher China combines its local roots with global know-how, and offers cross-border, integrated, legal services for both out-going Chinese companies and multinational enterprises.
