Fieldfisher adds new partner to Paris Finance team

European law firm Fieldfisher has added to its Finance expertise in Paris with the hire of a new partner, Arnaud Grünthaler.

Arnaud joins from Simmons & Simmons, where he sat in the Financial Services team, and his practice encompasses advising credit institutions, asset managers and insurance companies on all aspects of banking, asset management and capital markets regulatory matters. In addition, Arnaud advises on the setting-up of regulated entities, as well as the structuring and marketing of funds in France and the offer and distribution of structured products.

Arnaud has been at Simmons & Simmons since 2007, when he joined from Landwell & Associés (now PwC Sociétés d’Avocats), having worked there since qualifying in 1999.

Bruno Paccioni, managing partner of Fieldfisher Paris, said: "Finance is a key area for the firm and as such we're committed to increasing our expertise in this area across all of our offices. Arnaud has significant experience in asset management and regulatory matters for financial institutions and as a result we're delighted he's joining us."

Arnaud said: "Fieldfisher has a growing reputation across asset management and financial services more broadly, and it's a firm I've admired for some time. What's more, the firm is very well placed – with its network of European offices – to support clients both domestically and internationally, and I'm very much looking forward to playing a part in the next stage of the firm's growth."

In June this year Fieldfisher unveiled its new three year strategy, with Finance and Financial Services named as one of the firm's key areas of focus (alongside Technology, and Energy & Natural Resources), while the firm also committed to strengthening its position across the continent.

Arnaud joined Fieldfisher today, 3rd October.
