Fieldfisher adds six to its ranks in 2021 partner promotion round

Fieldfisher has promoted six lawyers to its partnership in the latest partner promotions round.

The promotions span the London, Manchester and Brussels offices and cover a number of our specialist areas, including technology, energy & natural resources, regulatory, employment, tax and personal injury & medical negligence.

These promotions follow a number of lateral hires and a strong performance for Fieldfisher over the last year.  Adding talent to our partnership is key to our growth strategy."

The promotions are effective from 1 May 2021 and bring the total of Fieldfisher partners, globally, to 271.

The new partners are:

Bridget Collier
Bridget heads up the mesothelioma and asbestos claims practice in Manchester. She has over 20 years' experience running asbestos, industrial disease and employer liability claims.

Christopher Eastham
Chris is part of the technology, outsourcing and privacy team in London.  He is an expert in negotiating complex technology contracts - especially for business critical systems and functions - with in-depth experience in the telecoms sector, AI & automation, and emerging technologies.

Andrew Loan
Andrew is a corporate tax lawyer and chartered tax adviser based in London.  He has over 20 years' experience advising on a wide variety of corporate tax and VAT matters, particularly taxation issues in the context of acquisitions and disposals of public and private companies.

Gerard McElwee
Gerard is part of the European regulatory group in Brussels. He advises on chemical legislation in the areas of REACH, CLP, biocides, plant protection products and also related areas such as food contact materials and cosmetics. This involves either general compliance advice, product defence issues, or litigation before the European Courts and Agencies.

Wouter Vandorpe
Wouter is part of the energy and utilities team in Brussels. He primarily advises on renewable energy projects, EU and domestic regulatory energy issues, public procurement and new energy developments such as hydrogen, energy communities and heat networks.

Alex Watson
Alex is part of the EPIC (Employment, Pensions, Immigration and Compliance) team.  He specialises in contentious employment work regularly appearing in the Employment Tribunal on behalf of employers.
