12 reasons to mutualise

A year ago we advised on the landmark restructuring of NHS Hull's community health services in to an employee led social enterprise, City Health Care Partnership CIC. Since then City Health Care Partnership has been enjoying the benefits of its new freedoms.

During the last 12 months, we have continued to be active in this area and have advised a number of public bodies on becoming employee led social enterprises.

Earlier this year we helped write the first comprehensive guide to help public sector employees to own and run the services they provide which was launched at the House of Commons by Francis Maude MP.
