Queen Mary's Legal Advice Centre

Fieldfisher has been supporting the work of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre (QMLAC) since its inception in 2006. Our lawyers work with students to provide free legal advice to people who otherwise could not afford it in Tower Hamlets, one of the most deprived boroughs in London.

Our trainees are the foundation of this project, running the case from start to finish and supervising the student. The clinic is a great opportunity for trainees to take on early responsibility, get to know people from around the firm, and give back to the local community.

Fieldfisher are a committed and longstanding partner of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre supervising client advice in; contract, consumer, landlord and tenant, and employment cases. They are dedicated to providing pro bono support to the most vulnerable people in society as well as developing and educating QMUL students to be future lawyers with the same ethos of public engagement. We cannot thank all at Fieldfisher enough for the contribution they make to the Centre, its clients and its Student Advisers.

Frances Ridout

The assistance I received was first class. It's good to know that such a service exists for people like me who can't afford to instruct a solicitor.

The clinic gives me an invaluable feel for what it is like to be solicitor.
