Some of our deal experience:

Acted for a leading multinational hardware and electronics manufacturer in the defence of a large value product liability claim brought by a consumer whose home had been destroyed in a fire caused by the alleged product.

Acting for a publicly listed document management organisation in a joint police/Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation arising from a workplace fatality on site. Fieldfisher has been assisting the client in all aspects of the investigation and has been acting as the key liaison between the client and the HSE during the investigation.

Acted for a leading telecommunications manufacturer in relation to a major dispute with one of their former employees concerning the solicitation of other employees following a de-merger.

Acted for and represented five individuals who were former directors of a paper manufacturing business following an investigation by HMRC into alleged tax fraud. The directors were charged with tax fraud and Fieldfisher provided advice and assistance from the outset of the investigation to trial.  

Acted for a leading manufacturer of security marking systems in an internal investigation following the sale of an product that contained a chemical which had been restricted for sale in the EU. As part of our instruction, we provided advice and assistance to the company on product liability and the corrective measures available to them (including product recall).

Acting for a leading perfume manufacturer in an internal investigation relating to the theft of high value perfumes and aftershaves by temporary workers whilst working on site.

Evo Electric - Advising on the £10m investment by, and subsequent joint venture with, GKN Automotive Limited.

Automobili Lamborghini SpA – acting for this iconic sports car manufacturer, in trade mark and design infringement proceedings in the Intellectual property and Enterprise Court. The dispute concerns defendants who were manufacturing unauthorised and infringing kit cars intended to replicate the Lamborghini Murcielago model. 

Tesla Motors - Advising on the design, development, manufacture and supply of high performance clean technology sports car

Automotive parts – Advising a leading automotive parts manufacturer on the recovery of equipment, goods and debt following the pre-pack administration and sale of a major customer.  We negotiated a swift and favourable agreement for the return of stock and repayment of a multi-million pound debt, enabling new business to be negotiated with the new owners without breaking the chain of supply.  

Food processing – Acting for a UK manufacturer of food processing lines to resolve disputes with parties in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain over issues of delay, testing and performance. 

Healthcare equipment - Representing a global manufacturer of medical diagnostics equipment in the successful resolution of several multi-million Euro disputes with international distributors following the termination of long-term distribution agreements.
