BaFin Konsultation: Merkblatt zum Umgang mit Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken

Die Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin) hat am 24. September 2019 eine Konsultationsfassung des Merkblattes zum Umgang mit Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken (Konsultation 16/2019) veröffentlicht. Adressaten des Merkblattes sind sektorübergreifend alle von der BaFin beaufsichtigten Unternehmen, insbesondere Kreditinstitute, Versicherungsunternehmen, Pensionsfonds, Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaften und Finanzdienstleistungsinstitute. Es gilt nicht unmittelbar für von der EZB direkt beaufsichtigte bedeutende Institute sowie inländische Zweigniederlassungen von Unternehmen aus dem EU/EWR-Ausland. Laut BaFin „ist es allerdings nicht ausgeschlossen, dass auch solche Unternehmen das Merkblatt als Orientierung heranziehen.“
