Alesia Tsiabus, Associate (Belarusian Qualified), Dispute Resolution, Fieldfisher

I am an associate (Belarusian qualified) in the Dispute Resolution Group and a member of the Russia & CIS Group.

My practice focuses on high-value complex international disputes. I have assisted in advising and representing foreign investors in international commercial and investment arbitration proceedings under the ICSID, SIAC and UNCITRAL Rules. I am involved in representing a major investor in an oil & gas sector in an on-going Investor-State arbitration under the SCC Rules.

I graduated from the Belarusian State University with honours in 2009 and obtained an LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge in 2014.

I previously practiced law in commercial law firms in Minsk, Belarus where I advised clients on various aspects of doing business in the Russia & CIS region.

I also worked in international arbitration practices of the City law firms and spent six months as a research assistant at the Secretariat of the London Court of International Arbitration.

I am a native Russian speaker and fluent in English and Ukrainian.

Outside work, I enjoy travelling around the world and exploring new cuisines and cultures.
