Iurii Nikitin, Associate, Dispute Resolution
I am an associate in the Dispute Resolution department and a member of the Russia & CIS Group. I am qualified to act as a solicitor in England and Wales.
I specialise in helping clients to manage and resolve complex, business-critical commercial disputes, which often involve multiple jurisdictions. I have successfully represented clients in arbitrations governed by the ICC and LCIA rules and in English High Court and Court of Appeal litigation. I have also been involved in advising major financial institutions in respect of regulatory and tax investigations, and have experience of acting in tax litigation against HMRC. My experience also includes representing a major pharmaceutical company in the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal.
When advising clients, I will ensure that their goals and preferences is my primary focus. My experience and skills enable me to run matters efficiently and deliver the best possible results for my clients.
Litigation and Arbitration involving clients from the CIS region: I have experience acting for ultra high-net-worth individuals from the CIS region in arbitration and litigation in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
Oil&Gas Disputes arising in Emerging Markets: I have represented a major international oil company in a dispute arising from an oil & gas assets divestment in sub-Saharan Africa.
Financial Institutions: I have acted for multiple financial institutions, including major investment banks, in respect of regulatory and tax investigations.
Pharmaceutical Companies – Antitrust: I have assisted a major pharmaceutical company with its successful appeal to the Competition Appeal Tribunal concerning allegations of excessive pricing.
In my spare time, I enjoy meditating, hiking in Ukrainian forests and volunteering.
