Yuliya Kupchenko, Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution
I am a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution department and a member of the cross-departmental Russia & CIS Group. My practice covers a broad range of commercial litigation and arbitration matters often emanating from Russia and the CIS region.
I act for clients in high-value, complex commercial litigation particularly involving issues of civil fraud and usually with a cross-border element. I have experience with matters concerning injunctions, including WFOs and contempt of court proceedings. My experience also includes advising clients in breach of fiduciary duties claims, shareholder disputes and contractual disputes, as well as proceedings brought by the Pension Regulator.
My arbitration practice includes international commercial and investment treaty disputes. I have been involved in high profile, ultra-high worth arbitral proceedings under the rules of various arbitral institutions, including ICSID, SCC, LCIA and PCA, plus ad hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL rules.
In addition to English I am a native Russian and Ukrainian speaker.
In my spare time I practice hot dynamic yoga and enjoy long walks with my Labrador Retriever.
