Recognised in Legal 500, 2017 as having  ‘exceptional technical abilities’ and for being ‘astute’, ‘very good technically’, and ‘hardworking, responsive and extremely personable’. Recognised in Chambers UK 2017 for representing high-profile life sciences companies in commercially sensitive patent disputes and for being 'highly effective and a pleasure to work with'.

Having graduated with a science degree, I spent several years working in the pharmaceutical industry in clinical trials, before qualifying as a lawyer. Whilst I have litigated all types of IP, I most frequently advise on multi-jurisdiction patent disputes for companies in the life sciences sector. Recent highlights include representing GlaxoSmithKline in a global patent litigation dispute with Pfizer regarding Meningitis B vaccines. As well as being an experienced litigator in the UK Courts and the European Patent Office, I have experience of litigating in the Court of Justice of the European Union having worked on two seminal cases which were referred to this Court, one concerning SPCs and one concerning counterfeit goods in transit. I am Vice Chair of the IP committee of the Bio Industry Association and a member of the Life Sciences committee of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys. I frequently speak at industry events, particularly on SPCs.
