Faye Hyland, Senior Associate, Real Estate Litigation
I qualified into the property litigation team in 2012, having trained at the firm. I deal with all types of contentious commercial property issues.
My experience includes business lease renewals and dilapidations, assignment issues, tenant default / arrears and service charge disputes.
I have acted for various clients on the operation of contentious break clauses and advised on compliance with conditional and qualified rights to break. I have worked extensively with expert witnesses and have strong experience of evidence preparation and assembly.
I have also been involved with real property issues, including covenants, easements and boundaries, rights of way and adverse possession claims.
I have particular expertise of negotiations, having been involved in a substantial mediation earlier this year.
I have written articles for the firm's Real Estate newsletter (Informer) covering topics such as squatter's rights, break clauses and dilapidations claims.
In my spare time I enjoy going to see up and coming comedians and doing a spot of Irish dancing.
