Jessica Gardner, Director, Regulatory Lawyer
I am a competition, consumer and regulatory law expert, helping my clients to achieve their business objectives by providing practical and commercial risk-based advice.
My portfolio covers all aspects of EU and UK competition and regulatory law, including large and small scale investigations and compliance audits, dawn raids, dominance issues, restrictive practices, merger control, distribution/'route to market' strategies and consumer law issues.
I have advised on many EU and UK competition and regulatory matters, often complex/high profile in nature, including an international cartel involving a global seatbelt manufacturer, a UK cartel in the construction industry, managing EU distribution and reselling arrangements for suppliers of branded goods, advising on dominance issues for household brands, conducting an EU-wide compliance audit for a global coffee company and advising on numerous regulatory and consumer issues for (online) businesses.
My client base ranges from small enterprises through to multi-national corporates and large trade associations, across a broad range of sectors. I have particular expertise in regulated sectors including food and beverage/retail, leisure/travel and life sciences.
I regularly deliver client training/workshops on key risk issues. Client feedback from one of my sessions was that it was "the best training ever received on any topic". I have a Distinction in the EU Competition Law Diploma (one of 4% of candidates), a Distinction in the Diploma in Legal Practice and an LLB (Hons) Law (2:1, 69%).
