Miriam France, Associate, Competition, Regulatory & Trade
I am an Associate with Fieldfisher's Competition, Regulatory & Trade Group in Brussels.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law & European Studies from the University of Limerick, and a Master's Degree in European Law from the University of London. I am a Bar Vocational Course graduate from Northumbria University in the UK, and I am currently in the process of qualifying as a Solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland.
Before joining Fieldfisher I worked with Professor Luke Marsh of the Chinese University of Hong Kong on various international research projects. We co-authored a book on The Hong Kong Employment Ordinances: Commentary & Annotations , together with Professor Michael Ramsden of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Farzana Aslam of the University of Hong Kong, and Susana Ng of Allen & Overy in 2013.
More recently, I was a Regulatory Analyst and Compliance Specialist with Compliance & Risks in Ireland, where I carried out research, advised clients and hosted webinars on a range of regulatory topics including chemicals, energy efficiency, conflict minerals, e-waste and EH&S. At Fieldfisher, I work on chemicals, EH&S and Brexit-related matters.
I speak English, with some basic French.
When I'm not working, I enjoy caring for my son, crime novels, flea markets, techno, house and baroque music.
