Simon Englebert, Associate, Competition, Regulatory and Trade
I am an associate within the Competition, Regulatory and Trade department of Fieldfisher Brussels.
Together with Claudio Mereu, Head of the EU Regulatory practice of Fieldfisher in Brussels, I advise companies on EU life-science and environmental legislation, ranging from REACH, biocides, agro-food to cosmetics and electronic equipment.
In particular, I help the clients of Fieldfisher navigating the complex aspects of the EU regulatory legislation and its implementation within Member States, also including lobbying strategies and general compliance issues.
Furthermore, I am involved in the approval process of substances or products as well as in the related litigation before the European and national courts.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I trained in a French law firm in Brussels and I worked for two years in an American competition law firm, also in Brussels.
Graduated from the College of Europe, I am a fully qualified lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar and I am also a member of the Brussels Bar (E-list).
In addition to my native French, I speak English fluently and I speak German at a good level.
