Ramatu Banga, Partner, Real Estate
I have over 20 years' experience of working with both private and public sectors clients on a wide range of real estate transactions.
My private sector experience includes working with teams of lawyers on block acquisitions and disposals, sale and leaseback transactions, the property aspects of business transfers and share purchase agreements, along with leases of city centre wine bars, restaurants, hotels, shops and offices, and out of town warehouses and developments.
My public sector experience includes working with central government, non-departmental public bodies, community interest companies and other organisations on the property aspects of transfer schemes, risk management, leases, licences, acquisitions, disposals, development, estate management, clawback, Crichel Down rules and property aspects of facilities management agreements.
My recent work includes the acquisition of licensed wine bar premises in Moorgate, St Paul's and Covent Garden, London; advising on a lease of premises for serviced apartments near Cannon Street, London; the disposal of retail premises in Covent Garden; the development of a new HQ office building in Hull; a lease of premises within a hospital in Bath, and leases and licences of offices and clinics in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Many of the transactions involved tight deadlines and title issues.
I am a member of Women In Property.
In my spare time I play the piano. I also enjoy hiking.
