Holly Bontoft, Associate, Regulatory

Holly Bontoft, Associate, Regulatory, Fieldfisher

I am an associate in Fieldfisher's Public and Regulatory Group in the Manchester office.

I practise in all areas of public and regulatory law, including healthcare regulation, professional fitness to practise and judicial review.  I also have a strong focus on drafting legislation, policy and guidance for regulator clients, ensuring these are both rigorous and practical for those using them.  For clients providing regulated services, I use my knowledge and experience of regulators to provide clear and pragmatic advice. As well as advisory work, I also both bring and defend judicial reviews and statutory appeals in the Administrative Court and Court of Appeal.

I am a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL), and was awarded second prize in its Marion Simmons QC Essay Prize for junior lawyers in 2016.  I am also a member of the Statute Law Society, and sit on the Steering Committee for Pro-Manchester's Healthcare Sector Group.  I write regularly for the Public and Regulatory Group blog, have published an article in the journal of the College of Physicians, and tweet about legal issues at @hollybontoft.

In my spare time I can be found baking, planning my latest travels, or watching very bad movies.
