Fieldfisher celebrates largest ever partner promotion round
Growing European law firm has made up 14 partners, comprising seven women and seven men, across five offices in the latest round of partner promotions – the biggest number in the firm's history.
European law firm Fieldfisher has promoted 14 lawyers to the partnership, effective from 1 May 2019.
The new partners are spread across the firm's London, Birmingham, Manchester, Brussels, Munich and Silicon Valley offices and represent the development of talent across the firm's international footprint.
The promotions will see new partners across a variety of Fieldfisher's practice areas as it looks to support its growth in a number of key business areas, including technology, data privacy, real estate and construction.
This, in conjunction with a strong programme of lateral hires which has seen top quality lawyers join the firm over the past year, adds real firepower to Fieldfisher as it continues to expand.
The latest promotion round takes the total number of partners across the Fieldfisher network to 267.
Commenting on the promotions, Fieldfisher Managing Partner, Michael Chissick, said:
"I am proud that we have achieved such a high level of promotions this year – a record for the firm, both in terms of the number of new partners and the number of offices involved.
"Our latest round of partner promotions reflects the excellent calibre of talent which we have largely developed within the firm and I congratulate all of them on being made partners.
"I am especially proud of the fact that of our 14 new partners, 50% were women – which demonstrates that the work we have been doing to increase the number of female partners at the firm is starting to pay off.
"Those we have made up are respected by both colleagues and clients and I am confident that they will continue to be a credit to Fieldfisher and help drive the firm forward."
