Fieldfisher makes key energy regulatory hire in London
Elisabeth Blunsdon joins the firm from Orrick as a partner and regulatory expert with extensive experience in conventional and renewable energy.
European law firm Fieldfisher has appointed Elisabeth (Lis) Blunsdon to the firm's energy and regulatory teams as partner.
Lis joins the firm's London office from Orrick, where she focused on energy transactional and regulatory work as of counsel.
She has extensive experience in UK and European energy regulation, power purchase and gas sales agreements, project development and wider energy infrastructure matters.
Prior to Orrick, Lis held positions at Hogan Lovells and Hunton & Williams and has spent time in Brussels working on European energy regulatory issues.
Commenting on Lis' appointment, Fieldfisher's Co-Head of Energy and Natural Resources Dominic-Gurney Champion, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Lis to the firm as a partner in our Energy and Natural Resources and Regulatory groups.
"Lis brings significant expertise in energy regulation and renewables to our European energy practice – an area which we bolstered in January with the appointment of corporate partner Matthew Williams as Co-Head of Energy and Natural Resources.
"Matthew and I, along with John Cassels, Sarah Ellson and the wider energy and regulatory teams, look forward to working with Lis as we continue to enhance our capabilities in renewables and energy regulation and seek to benefit from the rapid growth of the renewables sector in the UK and across Europe."
