A team from Fieldfisher has advised the Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance team ("Investec") in relation to a senior loan facility made available primarily for the management buyout of the James Grant Group from Gresham Private Equity.
The James Grant Group is a leading talent management agency, comprising a number of companies, which provides management and professional services for TV, social, music, literary, and sports clients. It's roster of clients includes a host of well-known names such as Ant and Dec and Clare Balding. The acquisition was made by the James Grant management team in partnership with investment firm Metric Capital Partners. Fieldfisher drafted and negotiated an LMA-style facility agreement with security documentation and advised on intercreditor arrangements between Investec and funds advised by Metric Capital Partners.
Finance partner Robin Spender led the Fieldfisher team, which also included corporate senior associate Tom Ward, finance associate Lisa Harrison, and trainee Kritin Sundaram.
Robin Spender commented:
"I am very pleased with the conclusion of another successful transaction with the Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance team, with whom we previously worked in relation to the management buyout of telecommunications services firm ASK4. It's a testament to the growing relationship between Investec and Fieldfisher that Investec continues to consider us a strong partner for this type of transaction. I would also like to wish good luck to the James Grant Group as it moves forward with the support of Metric Capital Partners."
Stephen White of Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance added: "This is the second deal we have completed with Fieldfisher in H2 of this year and we were again impressed by their ability to deliver in what was a tight timescale. We value their commercial approach and the relationship aspect they bring to the table."
Fabio Andreottola, Partner of Metric Capital Partners, also commented: “I would like to thank Robin and the rest of the Fieldfisher team for their contribution to the transaction, where they demonstrated fast execution capabilities combined with high professional competence.”
