Fieldfisher hosted the launch event for a new report – Busting the Millennial Myth – the Power of Purpose. The report is the first into the attitude of the millennial generation towards working in employee-owned businesses. It explores whether employee ownership works for the newest generation of employees, and whether changes are needed in the employee ownership business model.
It was written by Peter Neville Lewis, founder of Principled Consulting and a research fellow at Brunel University, and Dr Ruth Yeoman, of Kellogg College, Oxford. Their analysis is based on a new survey of almost 750 employees of employee owned businesses across all age groups, at 50 different employee-owned businesses.
At the event, the authors presented their findings, followed by responses from representatives from several employee owned companies – including 3BM, Arup, Formation Architects and Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design – and then a panel question and answer session.
