Fieldfisher's first interactive workshop of this year's programme, aimed at refining your negotiation skills. This is a key skill for every lawyer, and one that is often under-emphasised in training. During this session we will help you get to grips with a methodology which will enable you to be consistently successful in your business negotiations.
We will (re-)introduce you to several key concepts that can be used to successfully maintain your position against even the toughest of negotiation oppositions.
We will then work with you on a 'real life' scenario to put these concepts into practice. Acting in groups, participants will have to negotiate against other teams in a bid to achieve the best possible outcome for their 'client'. Will you be able to successfully separate relationship issues from problem issues, and focus on interests not positions? Can you bring creative solutions to the table and reach a solution which satisfies both parties and nurtures the ongoing business relationship?
