Careful handling of inside information is a regular challenge for corporate finance advisors and brokers. Far-reaching new rules come into force in July 2016:

• Extensive new process requirements and a 5 year record-keeping obligation will surround the 'wall crossing' procedure

• New rules for delays in announcing inside information

• New regime for personal account share dealings by 'persons discharging managerial responsibilities'.

With or without Brexit, market participants need to be ready for these changes in time for July, and have the right policies, process and training in place. AIM companies will now be regulated similarly to Official List issuers.

We are holding a breakfast seminar to explain the issues to our friends and clients. Our specialists will give short presentations on the new rules, focussing on the practical implications for professionals in the equity capital markets. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. The event is aimed at market participants, compliance leaders and in-house legal advisors.
