Retailers have had a bit of a bashing in recent months over their employment practices. But are retail staff badly paid and poorly treated?  Or have they not been for the work they do in employing large numbers of people, and enabling career paths from the shop-floor to the boardroom?

Fieldfisher Employment Partners, Nick Thorpe and David Carmichael, will be making the case for and against the motion that retailers are bad employers, focusing on recent press coverage of retail employment practices as well as reported and unreported Employment Tribunal decisions to support their respective positions.

If you are interested in finding out more details on what promises to be a lively debate, please contact Nick Thorpe for more information.
