Fieldfisher is delighted to inform you that we will be hosting the second breakfast briefing of our 2015 programme at our riverside offices at Riverbank House on Tuesday 10 March from 8.30 to 10.30am.

Our breakfast briefings aim to cover significant legal developments and cases in in the technology sector, as well as refreshers and discussions on topics of interest, with a focus on thepractical implications. The second briefing covers IT Project Pile-Ups and ourtips on how to avoid them. The breakfast briefing will be delivered by AndrewDodd, who leads our Technology Disputes team and Andy Field of Fieldfisher Consulting who will be co-presenting with Bryan Kelly, IT Director of the Insolvency Service

Disputes in outsourcing projects are all too common and can often be traced to recurring factors. These range from poorly defined business requirements and careless pre-contractual promises at the outset of a project, through to poor use of the change control process as the scope evolves. We will confront those factors and provide a set of best practices to avoid an IT Project Pile-Up.

We will also outline our first hand insight from a recent project turn-around at the Insolvency Service, providing a practical overlay to the factors outlined above.
