Two members of our Franchising & Licensing Team, David Bond (Partner) and Vicky Reinhardt (Associate), attended the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) in Berlin last week as part of Fieldfisher's Hotel and Leisure Group.
The IHIF is one of the major sector events and attracts hotel owners, investors, debt providers, operators and hotel brands from all over the world. As one of the sponsors of the event, we had a stand in the main conference room and organised coffee meetings with several of our existing and new clients. In addition, Alex Campbell, a partner in our Finance Team spoke on a panel entitled "Innovative management contracts – breaking the mould!" which encouraged some interesting discussions during and after the session.
Over the last year, Fieldfisher has advised on a wide range of matters from across the hotel and leisure sector. We have been involved in transactions involving casinos, bingo halls, hotels, serviced apartments, food and beverage outlets and holiday travel companies. We have advised on projects across the world, including the UK, France, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Greece, Romania, Chile, China and the United Arab Emirates.
