I have been qualified to practice law in State of Pennsylvania in the United States since 2016 and in China since 2007. I am expected to become a qualified UK solicitor in 2021-2022 (past first stage of UK QLTS (MCT) in 2020).
I obtained my LL.M. in Taxation degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where I not only gained a firm understanding of US federal and international taxation, but also developed my special interests in tax aspects of corporate reorganization, multinational enterprise transactions, private equity investment, and cross-border tax disputes in particular.
By leveraging our global network at Fieldfisher and collaboratively working with our tax teams across UK and EU, I believe that we are capable to provide our clients high quality legal advice and support on cross-border taxation related matter, particularly in relating to tax disputes resolutions in major countries.
Prior to joining the firm, I worked in a UK based leading international law firm’s Joint Operation Office in Shanghai. During this time, I mainly participated in Hong Kong IPOs and Bond Issuance projects. In addition, I have been gained litigation experience and have been provided legal advice to companies as an outside counsel during my early career stage.
With my previous work experience regarding capital markets and litigation, I am able to provide legal services in relating to Debt Capital Markets transactions, especially debt capital markets related disputes and litigation matters, and advisory to the issuers and agencies as an outside counsel.
Meanwhile, I am also looking forward to work with our capital markets group across UK and EU to provide clients debt issuance related legal services in the future.
I am a Chinese (Mandarin) native speaker, and am fluent in English.
