I have a broad practice with over a decade's experience advising clients on all aspects of dispute resolution (having acted for clients before the English High Court, Court of Appeal, and Court of Justice of the European Union as well as having mediation and arbitration experience). I also advise clients on franchising and licensing deals with a focus on risk assessment (given my litigation experience), particularly for reputable brands.
My intellectual property practice focuses on advising and representing clients in IP disputes (trade marks, passing off, copyright, designs, trade secrets). I have extensive experience advising clients in trade mark registry disputes domestically and internationally.
As part of my IT and broader technology disputes practice I regularly advise parties to technology projects facing issues with performance of contractual obligations and, where appropriate, assist clients negotiate exit strategies to avoid formal litigation.
I have a particular interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies and am regularly leading briefings with clients to discuss the important and dynamic issues in this area.
My clients range from international and domestic software providers and other telecommunication and technology companies, food and beverage manufacturers and retailers, fashion houses and media production companies.
I completed the University of Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice and have published a number of articles. I devised and launched Fieldfisher's SnIPpets podcast in March 2023 and regularly contribute to the firm's long-running SnIPpets blog.
I am a member of AIPPI and the Society for Computers and Law.
Managing IP has listed me as a Rising Star and most recently in 2022 I have been recognised as a "Notable practitioner".
I am a strong supporter of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives at Fieldfisher and outside the firm. When not at work, I spend time with my three children visiting museums.
