I am a technology lawyer experienced in advising a variety of clients of all sectors and sizes, from government to SaaS provider, and start-up to global, on a variety of issues including software, hardware, infrastructure, networking, open source, virtualisation, outsourcing, web technologies, fintech, media, telecoms, and others.
- Advanced Media and Technology
- Cloud Practice
My experience includes advising on licensing, digital media, software and app development, outsourcing, multi-sourcing, telecommunications, networking, open source licensing and IT intellectual property.
I have particular experience working for large international software, infrastructure, SaaS and on-prem suppliers, and have worked on open source projects, large IT ERP/BP outsourcings, IP and IT advisory work, government contracting and various commercial deals. I have extensive knowledge of the actual technology underpinning what our clients do, want they want to use and how they need it to work to get business done. I have worked as an integral part of a large IT suppliers in-house legal team, learning in-depth how the client works to best support the business as seamlessly as possible.
I originally trained here at Fieldfisher, spending time in the Technology, Outsourcing, and Privacy; Financial Markets and Products; Intellectual Property Litigation; and Franchising, Advertising, and Media teams. Before that, I worked for two investment banks.
I have a degree in Law with International Studies from the University of Surrey and a Masters in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
Outside of work I'm an avid fan of all things tech, and can usually be found craving the latest gadget or tinkering with the code controlling my home. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, food, and music.
