My expertise in public and regulatory law includes working within government in both Australia and the UK. I have acted for both private and public sector clients, including governing and regulatory bodies. I am experienced in assisting clients in relation to internal investigations, judicial reviews, professional regulations and inquiries.

Recent work includes:

  • Providing secretariat support and legal advice to a reviewer commissioned to undertake an independent investigation;
  • Auditing fitness to practice decisions for a UK health and social care body;
  • Supporting witnesses called to give evidence to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.

Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I was an Inquiry Lawyer for the Infected Blood Inquiry, where I managed the relationship with a key organisational core participant and four investigative strands directly relating to the Terms of Reference. I reported directly to the Chair, Counsel to the Inquiry and both the Deputy and Solicitor to the Inquiry.

I also spent time working for the Ministry of Defence (through the Government Legal Department) with responsibility for managing a caseload of often high-value, sensitive and reputationally significant personal injury and clinical negligence cases.

I was admitted in 2013 and trained as a solicitor with the Queensland Government, graduating into the Constitutional Law Team in 2014, where I advised on matters of State and Commonwealth constitutional law issues and worked on litigation seeking to challenge State legislation on infringement of implied rights, habeas corpus or rule of law grounds.
