I am particularly recognised in the areas of Inspection and Tax Litigation, where, jointly with my team, I have achieved remarkable success in defending the interests of my clients. I have extensive experience in business consulting, as well as in the taxation of family groups and business succession, and I was one of the first professionals to study the taxation of tax figures, such as trusts, no specifically recognised by the Spanish law. Finally, thanks to my general training and extensive experience, I have taken the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, particularly in the criminal-tax and accounting-tax domains, as well as insolvency situations with fiscal implications.

Throughout my career, I sought legislative improvement in the field of taxation, having participated, among others, in the taxation reform of business succession inheritance that took place in the late nineties, and in the projects presented by entrepreneurial organisations to improve the R&D incentives. I am also the author of numerous articles, notably the work of La Reforma Fiscal 2015 (The Fiscal Reform 2015), in which I coordinated a prestigious team of professionals. It is also remarkable that one of the successful claims I managed, implied the need of reforming the taxation of the investment vehicles, because the regulation in force until the resolution of the said claim was declared invalid.

I received a degree in Economics and Business Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1985, and I have been lecturing about Business Taxation in the same university for 23 years.

I started my professional career at Coopers & Lybrand, later going on to Cuatrecasas, where I stayed for 8 years reaching the category of Director of the Tax Department, and, further on, at Pedro Brosa y Asociados until 2003, when I founded Miliners Abogados y Asesores Tributarios. In 2017, I merged the tax team of Miliners with JAUSAS.
