I am a family and succession lawyer with a particular interest in pre-nuptial agreements, inheritance and divorce-related partition of assets, wills, and succession matters such as collation and attribution of lifetime gifts. I advise private clients in structuring and protecting family wealth and often assist in cross-border inheritance matters.

After graduating in Law from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, I joined the boutique practice of Professor Alexandre Sousa Machado, a highly regarded authority in Family and Succession Law in Portugal. I then moved to PLMJ, where I worked under the leadership of Rui Alves Pereira in the Family and Succession team. There, I focused particularly on paternity cases and complex inheritance proceedings.

I continued my practice in Family and Succession Law at AAMM and later at JPAB, where I remained actively involved in teams specialising in these areas. I subsequently joined Pinto Ribeiro Advogados / André Miranda Associados, where I established and now lead the Family and Succession Law practice. My work often involves high-profile and complex succession matters with significant impact in the national market.

I hold a Master’s degree in Forensic Law with a thesis on “The Attribution of Lifetime Gifts by the Deceased to the Surviving Spouse”, as well as a postgraduate degree in Family Law.
