My practice is broad and varied, but I am principally involved in health and safety, transport regulatory, corporate crime and commercial litigation.
I specialise in Health and Safety matters and regularly advise companies on their health and safety obligations.
I focus on the construction, energy and transport sectors but receive instructions from clients in all sectors. I have advised companies subject to investigation by the Health and Safety Executive and other regulatory authorities and have conducted internal investigations for companies following health and safety incidents.
I have published articles in relation to health and safety compliance and I am a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association (HSLA).
I also specialise in transport regulatory matters and have represented a number of operators of freight and passenger transport services at Public Inquiries before the Traffic Commissioner.
I have acted for companies appealing Traffic Commissioner decisions at the Upper Tribunal (Transport) and acted for operators and individuals in relation to traffic related offences.
I have developed expertise in corporate and financial crime and advised businesses subject to investigation and prosecution for fraud and tax evasion.
I have also advised high-net-worth individuals subject to prosecution for serious criminal offences and individuals who are subject to harassment and stalking. I am a Solicitor-Advocate with rights of audience in the Criminal Courts including the Crown Court and Court of Appeal (Criminal Division).
In the commercial litigation sphere, I have acted for clients in a range of high value contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and cases involving fraudulent conduct. In recent years, I have developed particular expertise in advising companies and individuals who wish to enforce or contest employment related restrictive covenants and covenants relating to confidential information, which often involves emergency injunctive relief.
