I was brought up and educated in Mainz, Germany and am bilingual (English, German) and proficient in French.
Much of my work has a cross-border aspect, with a particular focus on companies with a German connection.
Recent examples of my work include: pursuing pan-European truck cartel follow on damages claim for many global corporates; advising a UK funder on investment in claims in Germany; defending an engineering and construction dispute for a German contractor in the renewable sector; and acting on urgent and non-urgent injunctions. Some of my work crosses over into employment litigation, including bringing equal pay actions for large multi-claimant groups.
I co-authored a practitioner’s text book in German aimed at contract and project managers in large engineering projects: Pinnells & Pinnells, Risikomanagement in Internationalen Projekten, Gabler Verlag 2007.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing clarinet in orchestras and singing in choirs. Whenever I can, I combine my interests in music and languages with travelling.
