I joined the team in 2015 and I work for a range of public and private sector clients across the IT, technology, e-commerce, travel and retail sectors in relation to data protection, consumer law and related contractual matters. I enjoy advising on complex data protection data queries, as well as finding practical solutions to resolve compliance issues. I am also particularly interested in assisting with the consumer relationship – everything from online terms, to direct marketing strategies and complaints handling.
I have a wealth of experience of working on data processing and sharing agreements in a variety of sectors and I frequently advise clients on data subject rights requests, data transfer issues, enforcement and global data protection requirements. I am also experienced with large GDPR readiness projects and BCR applications, as well as cyber security incidents and advising on breach notification requirements.
Most of my projects are international; and I am able to manage multi-jurisdictional matters by developing relationships with local counsel outside the UK. I currently advise a number of multinational organisations on their global data protection compliance projects, as well as their BAU privacy concerns.
I have previously spent time on secondment at a multinational telecoms company, focussing on its GDPR compliance activities; and I currently act as part of the DPO function for a worldwide toy company.
As well as presenting at Fieldfisher's flagship annual "Privacy Summit", I have also written articles for publications such as Financier Worldwide, delivered training sessions for Fieldfisher's online webinar series and often provide training sessions directly to clients.
I hold a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) qualification (CIPP/E). In my spare time, I enjoy yoga and online exercise classes.
