Alix is a privacy and technology lawyer working in Fieldfisher's Technology, Outsourcing and Privacy Department in Brussels. She is a French native speaker and speak English fluently.
Her work covers all aspects of privacy and data protection law, including compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), international data transfers as well as matters relating to direct marketing or the implementation of CCTV systems for instance. In addition, she is involved in drafting and reviewing IT contracts.
Alix's role as a privacy and technology lawyer led her to work with either start-ups or large multinationals operating in the banking, insurance, health, telecoms or advertising sectors for instance.
In particular, she has helped large multinationals prepare and implement some binding corporate rules. She has assisted clients respond to the French data protection authority (CNIL) on many ad hoc questions as well as respond to data subjects' requests in accordance with the GDPR. Alix has also advised clients on IT contracts, whether to help them draft and negotiate such contracts or to review a potential target's IT contracts in the context of an M&A due diligence.
Following her studies in France and in the United Kingdom, Alix qualified as a French lawyer and gained specific experience in privacy and data protection law in Parisian law firms before joining Fieldfisher in September 2018.
