Getting there:

Fieldfisher Solihull is located in Blythe Valley Business Park, just off junction 4 of the M42.

The closest Stations are:

  • Dorridge 2.7 miles, 51 minute walk.
  • Solihull 4.2 miles, 1 hr 23 minute walk.
  • Shirley 4.2 miles, 1 hr 22 minute walk. 

Around a 10-15 minute drive away.

There is a free bus on the business park linking the surrounding area including Solihull train station and Birmingham International.

After entering the business park via the main roundabout, proceed directly ahead to the next roundabout, turn left here and follow that road (Central Boulevard) all the way to the end where you will find another roundabout. Go straight ahead and take the first turning on the right into the carpark. Continue right in this carpark and you will see Fieldfisher, Aspen House.

    Drop off points

    The taxi drop off is directly outside the building.

    You will be able to access the main reception through automatic doors where you will then be able to use the reception phone to contact Facilities who will come and meet you.

    Other areas of the office are not accessible without a pass card. 

    If required Facilities will be able to provide a temporary pass for you to use during your visit.
    We have a lift connecting all floors of the building. 

      Assistance Dogs

      Assistance dogs are more than welcome into the building.

      Parking

        If you attend the building, feel free to park in an available space outside on a temporary basis.

        Due to current lower footfall, you are currently able to park where there is a free space.

        Spaces at the front of the building on the right hand side are usually for visitor's spaces.

        Spaces at the front of the building on the left hand side are partner's spaces.

        Either side of the main entrance doors are located two disabled spaces.

        We are currently not using the overflow carpark but this is the largest car park, located in the centre of the business park, 5-10 minutes' walk from the office. Next to One Central Boulevard in the middle of Central Boulevard. (If at all required.)

        Entering the offices

        • Main Entrance
        There is step free access from the car park (directly outside building) to the main reception area.

        There are automatic doors that will allow access to the Reception area. This is currently unstaffed due to the current situation.

        During normal working hours, between 8-5 the automatic doors are unlocked. At other times, a pass is required to gain access to the main entrance.

        • Reception
        Visitors are required to use the phone on Reception to notify Facilities of their arrival. The height of the phone is 150cm.

        The route from the outside to the main reception area is wheelchair accessible and there are no turnstiles.

        On exiting the building, the exit button is 115cm from the floor (only required when automatic doors are not in operation outside normal working hours.)

        • Building overview
        Aspen House is a small office. It has two floors and accommodates around 75 people.
        10,035 sq ft in total. 
        Ground floor offices totalling 468 sq m 5,042 sq ft
        First Floor Offices totalling 463 sq m 4,993 sq ft
        Air-conditioning - Cooling and Heating. Suspended Ceilings with LED Lighting. Full Access Raised Floors. Fully DDA Compliant. Shower Facilities.

        We have one passenger lift in the building serving two floors. 
        This fire lift can also accommodate a wheelchair – dimensions: 80cm (door) x 114cm (width) x 139cm (depth)

        We have three fire doors to exit the building in the case of an emergency.
        Two are located at left and right sides of the ground floor of the building. 
        The left had side door could be used to accommodate a wheelchair but there is a very small step that may cause an issue.

        On the first floor: there is a fire door on the left hand side of the building that leads to a spiral fire escape.
        Fire doors are not inherently designed to be wheelchair accessible.

        In the event of a fire alarm, the meeting point is located on the road directly behind the building, clearly marked on a streetlight, with a green sign marked as the assembly point.

        Double doors on each floor can accommodate a wheelchair – width: 180cm

        • Meeting Rooms

        All meeting rooms are wheelchair accessible. Staff are on hand to assist with doors. 
        Meeting room doors – width: 81cm.

        Facilities


        • Accessible Toilets.

        There are four regular toilets and one disabled toilet (located on the ground floor of the building.) Entrance placed through the door to the right of the main reception. 
        There is a shower in the ground floor toilet area but this is not set up for disabled access.

        Prayer room and medical room

        There is no specific prayer room in the building. However, the post room can be occupied for a short period of time and can provide an option.
        This is also the location of the first aid kit (other located on the 1st floor) this includes:


        • A fully stocked first aid kit
        • A defibrillator
