The FCA has published Terms of Reference for a wide ranging Asset Management Market Study. The purpose is to understand whether competition is working effectively to enable investors to get value for money. Areas of focus will likely narrow as they reach the interim report stage in the summer of 2016: possible themes being the potential for concentration; barriers to new entants; and vertical integration.
